• General Features:
  - Video Ads: Assign video ads to videos independently, to all videos of a Category or to all videos of a Channel.
  - Sub-Categories: Unlimited number and depth of sub-Categories for all uploaded content.
  - Multi-language: The Administrator can define the default language to use and users can select their own.
  - 99% table-less pure CSS template, easily customizable.
  - Embedded & embeddable videos: You can embed to your site videos from third party providers, like
    youTube or Myspace. Your videos can also also be embedded to external sites, like CMS's, blogs, etc.
  - Video conversion: Video conversion is done in background, so not to disrupt the user and all uploaded videos
    are automatically trans-coded to the Flash  Video^TM  format.
  - Paid subscriptions: You have the opportunity to use the paid-subscription mode, using PayPal, to charge your
    users for uploading and viewing content.
  - Automated subscription notifications: Your users are notified, whenever a new video is uploaded by a
    favorite user or in a subscribed video Channel.
  - RSS feeds: Your visitors can get RSS video feeds right on their desktop, from various video Categories, using
    different criteria for sorting.

    description) automatically generated, depending on the content of this page.

  - Category may contain sub-Categories AND its own videos at the same time.
  - Channels view: Show "Featured Channels" and all Channels below, with paginating and using filters: "Public
    Channels", etc and sorting filters: "ascending", "descending", etc.
  - Each Channel has its own mini-forum, for users to exchange views and publish content.
  - Channels can be "Public" (open to all), "Private" (subscription on owner invitation) or "Protected".
  - Channels feature their own video, description, statistics, latest users, latest videos posted and latest forum
     posts on their home-page.
  - Channel owners can use their own style-sheet to style their Channels pages and their own HTML content on the
    Channel's main page.
  - Channels include their personal, permanent and unique URL.
   
• Videos / Uploading / Conversion:
  - FFmpeg video conversion & TRUE 2-pass encoding: FFmpeg will convert your uploaded videos with
    an unprecedented speed, saving your server from CPU load, will produce much smaller file-sizes on the final
    Flash Video files and will increase the video quality. 2-pass encoding, coupled with a fairly large video bit-rate,
    will reduce even more the file-size of your Flash Videos and will increase even more their quality! And, just in
    case FFmpeg conversion fails, legacy Mencoder support is there, to convert these videos.
  - Users can upload a video from their own PC or embed a video from a third-party provider (like youTube,
     MySpace, etc).
  - Upload Progress Bar: Live upload progress bar with several statistics like: "Percent", "File Size", "Uploaded
     KBytes", "Elapsed Time", "Estimated Time Left", "Estimated Speed (KB/sec)".
  - Support for conversion from around 20 video formats to the Flash Video^TM format.
  - Administrator has the option to approve or not videos before being available on the site.
  - Users can save videos in their "Favorites", to view at a later time.
  - Users have a "history" feature, showing the videos they have so far watched.
  - Uploaded videos can be "public" (available to all) or "private" (available only to the user's friends).
  - User has the ability to enable/disable commenting and embedding ability of the video, upon uploading.
  - Video conversion to the Flash Video^TM format is done in the background, after uploading the video, so not to
    disrupt the user's experience with the site.
  - The Flash Video Player can reproduce videos with any kind of aspect ratio, not just 4:3 videos, with a built-in
     menu function that can adjust video dimensions automatically.
  - The Flash Video Player can also play videos in full-screen mode, for "theatrical" experience.
  - The Flash Video Player can also "smooth" the video playback, useful for small videos or video with small
     bit-rate, therefore low quality.
  - Same video player used for both in-site videos and embedded videos of the site in other sites.
  - Uploaded videos can be syndicated or shared, using: embeddable video player for blogs, CMS's etc,
    "permalink" URL to watch the video, automatic storing of the video to the most well-known on-line
     book-marking services, like "Furl", "Y! My Bookmarks", etc.
  - Users/guests can also send the video's "permalink" with the video's title and a thumbnail to one or more
    friends, by e-mail.
  - Uploaded videos can be rated or commented, using AJAX. Full user details, including user's Avatar appear next
    to the comment.
  - In the video page, users/guests can see the full personal info of the user who uploaded the video and also
    select from "related videos" or "other videos by this user" to watch.
  - Videos can also be download-able by THE users/guests (Administrator setting).
  - Videos can be reported for "improper content" to the Administrator, can be added to user's favorites and can
     be proposed for addition to the "Featured" videos.
  - Following information can be added to an uploaded video: title, description, special description (for when a
    video is "Featured"), tags, date added, username of the user who uploaded the video, place and time the video
    was "shot", rating, duration of video, views and comments No.
  - Also supporting "18+" videos, which can be viewed only by community members and not by guests (user has
    to verify he is 18 years old or older, to watch such a video). "18+" videos can also be either public or private,
    since this is a separate setting. They cannot be shared, embedded nor emailed, just "permalink-ed".
   
• User / Community functions:
  - User can edit his personal profile page and even use his own custom HTML (JavaScript and other scripts
    are forbidden, for security) or style-sheet.
  - User can select his language of preference, to browse the site in his local language.
  - Online indicator in user's profile.
  - User can enter many information, such as place of birth, gender, favorite music and books, date of birth,
    place of residence, etc, many of which are searchable in the community page, so the users can track other
    users easily.
  - User can invite people to join the site or to join a Channel he is a member in, using multiple e-mail addresses
    at one time and sending a personal "greeting" message.
  - User can see information about his overall stats, like uploaded & watched videos, rating from other users,
    private messages, pending friend requests, profile views, etc.
  - User can rate other users or videos, with AJAX technology.
  - User has a "Favorites" page, with his favorite videos stored there and a "history" page, with all the video he has
    watched so far.
  - User has a "My Videos" page, listing all the videos he has uploaded and he can edit any information of his
    videos or delete any of his videos.
  - User has private messaging function, which he can turn on or off and can send private messages to other
    members; he is also able to track "outbox" messages for delivery.
  - User can subscribe to videos of other users or to video Channels and he gets instant e-mail notifications for
    videos uploaded to these subscribed areas. Additionally to this, he has a "My Subscriptions" page, using which
    he can track all new content uploaded to his subscribed areas.
  - User can invite new friends (either already subscribed members or by sending e-mail invitation) to his "Friends
    List" and categorize his friends in many Friends Categories. Such Categories exist pre-made, also user has the
    ability to create new ones and delete old ones. Friends can also be "filtered" by Category or status ("pending"
    or "approved") and be sorted by various criteria.
  - User can privately share videos with people in his friends list. These videos are available only to his friends and
    no one else.
  - User can upload a personal image as user "Avatar".
  - Other users can subscribe to user's videos and the user can track his subscribers.
  - User can delete any comment posted on his own videos.
  - User can edit his Channel settings such as pre-approved video uploads, forum postis and set a Channel icon, if
    he owns this Channel.
  - Community page can show users using multiple filtering options like: "Users with/without photo", "Users online",
    etc and sort using multiple criteria, like: "Name", "Date joined", "Last login", "Gender", etc.
  - Community page also has online/offline indicator for all members, under their profile info.
   
• Administrative Section / Configuration
  - Amazing, clean-cut, fast to work with and beautiful Admin Panel, resembling the Windows^TM "Vista" look n' feel.
  - System Settings: The Administrator can define the site's name, general meta tags (description, key-words, etc), the admin's e-mail to send the site's automated e-mails from, make the site go in "offline" mode, so to work on upgrades, define the streaming method for videos ("progressive download" or "php-streaming") and the subscription method (free users or paid subscriptions, using PayPal).
  - Visual Settings: The Administrator here has control of all and any of the possible functions and "display blocks" used in the site, like the "Video of The Day", site news, show or hide top Categories, Top Channels, Featured Videos, Video Guide, Polls, latest users online, etc. TENS of options are available in this area!
  - Security - Permissions: Probably the most crucial configuration settings for your site. Here, the Administrator can define who can or cannot use each and any of the site's functions, like viewing videos, uploading videos, creating video Channels, require approval for uploaded videos, require e-mail activation for new users, enable or disable completely registration, maximum upload video file-size, etc. This is the part where you can turn your "ShareMixer" site to behave as anything from a personal video blog to a full featured on-line video community!
  - Video Conversion & Paths: The Administrator can define the system paths for the server-side module used for video conversion, thumbnails, etc, namely: "mencoder", "mplayer", "ffmpeg", "flvtool2" and "PHP". Also, he can configure different conversion-related settings, like: video re-sampling, re-sampling width & height, sound quality (bit-rate), video bit-rate, etc.
  - Edit static pages: The Administrator can edit on-line the content of various static pages, like "Help", "About", "Terms of Use", etc.
  - Polls - voting: The Administrator can define new polls, delete old ones and allow or disallow multiple poll voting and user and video rating per IP.
  - Paid Packages: The Administrator can define new packages for paid subscriptions, defining maximum allowed No of videos to upload per user, maximum allowed bandwidth per user, maximum allowed space used per user for uploading, etc. Subscription packages can also be edited or deleted.
  - Ad Management: The Administrator can define the code to use for Static Ads (like Google Ads) in various places of his site and can also define Video Ads to stream before a video (define Video Ads per any video separately, for all videos of a Category or for all videos of a Channel).
  - Users: The Administrator can view a list of all users (show by "active" or "inactive" and sort by user ID, Name, Country or Last login), ascending or descending, view the details of all users, edit any info of any user, delete a user or make him inactive. The Administrator can also search for a user by username or user ID and send mass HTML e-mail to all users or a certain user.
  - Videos: The Administrator can view a list of all videos (show by "private" or "public") and sort videos by video Title, Date added, duration, etc, ascending or descending. The Administrator can also edit any info of any video, delete a video, watch & approve a video or search for a video by video ID or title. He can also see and delete submitted user/guest requests for making a video "Featured" or "Inappropriate".
  - Categories: The Administrator can edit any info of any of the current video Categories, delete a Category or create a new Category, by defining name, description, photo and "parent Category" (this last setting is used to create sub-Categories). He can also search for a Category by Category ID or name and he can view or delete Category videos.
  - Channels: The Administrator can view a list of the current video Channels, using view filters for "public", "private" or "protected" Channels, also with sorting ability per Channel ID, name, owner, members, videos, etc, ascending or descending. The Administrator can also edit any info of any of the current video Channels or delete a Channel. He can also search for a Channel by Channel ID or name and he can view, delete and edit the Channel videos and forum posts and send mass HTML e-mail to all users of a certain Channel.
